To do:

– Sport (if it isn’t cancelled due to the rain)

– Lit circles: Get into your new groups and set up your timetable for your weekly roles (attached below). Once everyone has completed their own timetable, spend 50 mins reading and completing summaries/your first role. First conferences will be next week! 🙂 LC_Roles_Group-2a08jyb

– Maths: Continue with maths work from yesterday (percentage of/off) Work with a partner who is a good match for you! Once completed, write a paragraph on the back of your page to reflect on your learning. Describe the difference between of and off. With any extra time, you may use Prodigy BUT your work must be completed to a high standard prior to this!

– Science: On the Inquiry – Science page of the blog, choose a type of energy from the 4 options provided (wave energy, solar energy, wind energy and fossil energy). Watch the video and answer the comprehension questions that are below it on your iPads and try uploading your answers to our Google Classroom (there is a folder set up for Inquiry). You then need to pair up with someone in the room who chose the same type of energy as you and create a poster. These will be displayed in the hallway so ensure you are creative and take your time with them so that they are high quality. Include lots of colour, pictures and clear information. You will also be sharing these with the grade today 🙂

With any extra time, you may play Prodigy! BUT, all work MUST be completed to a high standard before that!

Team race! In teams of 5,  create the longest distance by using only 20cm straight lines. The lines cannot be touching.

How can we work out who has won without counting every single line and adding every 20cm one by one? Find an efficient strategy with your team to determine the total distance made.

How could we work together to make 1km outside using our 1m strips? We need to be fast and efficient!
